Young Carers Academy: Well Arty - 'Being Outside'

In 2022 I was commissioned by Young Carers Academy to produce six short bilingual (Welsh and English) films for their project Well Arty. Each film focused on a different theme and demonstrated a creative technique with the aim of developing the young carers' creative skills and boosting self-esteem. Each participant also received a box of art materials and resources which I put together.

Never Not a Mum is a pilot project devised, produced and led by Elly, inviting mums of children aged 0-3 to share stories of their experiences of pregnancy, birth and parenthood. Participants recorded their stories and turned them into short animated films. It took place before and during lockdown in 2020 and was supported by Arts Council Wales, Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board and TAPE Community Music and Film.
