Elly is an illustrator and animator, who has simply loved drawing, telling stories and making things since she was old enough to hold a pencil.
Clients include: Young Carers Academy, Betsi Cadwalader University Health Board, GISDA, Oh Comely, Conwy County Borough Council, Gwledd Conwy Feast, MOSTYN gallery, TAPE Community Music & Film, Ty Pawb, Making Sense CIC, Kitchen Party Cooks, Forester's Apple Juice, Conwy Kombucha Ltd., Cracked Eye Magazine, Magpie Resources, Wrap Magazine and Mardi Books.
She recently completed an R&D project funded by Arts Council of Wales and BCUHB, entitled 'Never Not a Mum', working with Mums of children aged 0-3 to produce animations about their parenthood experiences.
She is a qualified teacher and regularly runs illustration and animation workshops for children and young people, in schools, galleries, community settings and festivals. Since lockdown, many workshops have been adapted to be run online.
She has created animations for theatre, film and festivals. She has curated exhibitions, produced and art directed short films, made music videos and fought dragons*. She loves swimming, chocolate, fake fur, herons, yellow and Toby**.
She is available for commissions, collaborations and workshops and loves rummaging through ideas of all sorts - so please drop her a line if you want to work together!
